This information is to give you a better result for a healthy healing process of your skin before your tattoo session

Once you have made a tattoo appointment with me, please try to start to do these steps before our tattoo session. Drink least 2 full bottles or 2-8 oz cups of water daily. This will make your skin become more hydrated and softer. Put lotion on your future tattoo area daily, please don’t let it become dry and rough. After Care products you will need to have are: antibacterial Dial Liquid Soap, Aquaphor, clean paper towels. Have these items ready and prepared! Try do this a day before our tattoo appointment – This will help with your pain management and will make your tattoo experience more enjoyable 🙂

Please be aware that your new tattoo is similar to an open wound, so you should treated it as such.

For the first three days , wash your new tattooed area every hour, for 10 minutes with a small amount of Dial Liquid Soap and water. Then make sure you dry your tattoo with any CLEAN fabric, i.e.  a non-rough surface cloth or paper towel, by patting it down gently until your tattoo is not sticky; make sure it is completely dry before you apply the ointment on your tattoo. After the tattooed area is washed and dried,  apply a thin coat of Aquaphor or Tattoo Lover Care to the entire area, making sure you do not over apply because the tattoo needs to “breathe”.

PLEASE monitor the tattoo in between cleanings,  if your tattoo becomes dry, rewash it and apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor or Tattoo Lover Care to the entire area as needed. After the first 3 days,  please continue to wash your new tattoo area every hour for the next 2 weeks with same process. If you have a some aftercare issues please don’t hesitate to contact me, I want to make sure you will be well taken care of! Please be aware of these helpful reminders. Please follow these aftercare instructions, do not listen to what your friends/family told you. They did NOT tattoo you, I did. PLEASE make sure you always wash your hands before you wash or touch your own tattoo! It will peel like a sunburn after a few days.(It is totally normal to see colored flakes of skin shedding) If it does scab in a few areas, this is nothing to worry about, just let them fall off on their own.

For full Tattoo healed will takes up around  21 to 180 days, varies person to person for a 100% healed tattoo. Let your tattoo get completely dry before you apply any product on it. Do not pick, scratch, peel, slap, rub or irritate your tattoo. You can shower, but I recommend short showers, being mindful to not let the water directly hit your tattoo for 2 weeks. No swimming, soaking in the bath, or getting into a hot tub for 3 weeks. You may not expose your tattoo to the sun for at least 3 weeks, after its full healed, you must use sun block. Do not wear abrasive materials, jewelry, or shoes that rub against your tattoo. Do not let anyone touch your tattoo, unless they wash their hands. Beware of gym equipment, wash it well before using. Ice your tattoo to reduce swelling. Elevate your tattoo, to reduce swelling. Take short showers, this is to avoid longer healing times

In the first 24 hours, there may be a build up of plasma under the SecondSkin™. This is completely normal. If so, remove the bandage and repeat from step one. Whether or not you change your bandage, leave it on for an additional 5 to 6 days. Once after 6 days you remove our SecondSkin™ bandage, keep your tattoo clean and start using our aftercare cream as needed. APPLICATION Clean and dry the tattoo thoroughly. Cut the SecondSkin™ to the desired length and shape, using multiple pieces overlapped at least one inch if needed. You should account for an extra inch on each side of the tattoo to cover un-tattooed, dry skin. “Crack” the wave by bending the piece in half at the blue stripe. Expose the sticky side by peeling off the backing printed with “SecondSkin”. Smooth SecondSkin™ over the tattoo pushing out any air bubbles. Remove supportive clear backing by peeling from the blue “wave” and smoothing over skin.

REMOVAL

Peel up an edge or corner of SecondSkin™. If this proves difficult, you can attach medical tape to the corner of the film to help lift it. Slowly pull the film off. Do not pull it straight up away from the skin. Instead, pull the film back and across the skin while holding your skin taut.nYou may experience some redness around the tattoo where SecondSkin™ was applied to the un-tattooed skin. This is also completely normal and may occur with any type of medical adhesive. If you do develop an adverse reaction on the tattoo, discontinue use immediately PLEASE! If you want see the video of how to use second skin : Click here to watch.
